It was a rather piercingly cold evening, but nothing was going to keep me away from documenting the sacred union of this unforgettable couple. Meeting Michelle for the first time, her smile lit up the room and prepped me for the joyous event to come. Brian was the most in-love groom that I’ve encountered in quite some time; and from what I saw in Michelle in the short time I spent around her, I could see why. What a wise and perfect match, and I’m privileged to have shared in their day. Blessings and thank you, Michelle and Brian!
The Nixon Family »» Portrait Session
Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day—radiant sunshine and light breeze. The day was clearly ripe to shoot photos of the inventive and animated Nixon Family. This crew was easy on the eyes and easy on my spirit. The shoot was filled with laugher, bouts of silliness, and plain ol’ fun. Enjoy the sneaks!

NC Wives Weekend
A few girlfriends and I went away last weekend and had an amazing time!! We spent some time at the spa, shopping, dancing, and my favorite event of them all–pole dancing lessons! One thing is for sure: it’s not for the weak. It was a serious workout while teaching us some basic moves to take home to our husbands. 🙂 Here are a few moves I snapped of the ladies.

I’m seeing Black and White
I was in a random mood the other day and decided to take a couple of black and white shots, which are my all-time fav to shoot. Well…I guess my precious Orion (pic below) was a bit of an inspiration. 🙂
Here is a pic I took during the “G” & “E” family reunion. Dashing, isn’t he? 🙂

Saturday afternoon, the fam and I were out and about when I asked my husband if he would mind my taking a few shots of him, since he was looking quite dapper that day. 🙂 Here are a few teasers from our quick few-minute session. He wanted to show his professional yet relaxed side. Well, he also had a brief moment of quirkiness as you will see in one of the pics below.
